Skin Cancer Checks

It is recommended to have a full body skin check every 12 months especially if you have, a personal history of skin cancer or melanoma, a family history of skin cancer or melanoma, a large number of, or irregular looking moles, or are taking certain medications that may put you at a higher risk of skin cancer.

Skin Cancer Full Body Check
(allow up to 30 minutes)

You will be asked to dress down to your underwear, a gown will be provided and a female staff member will be present during the examination.

The doctor will ask if you have any areas of concern and they will then examine you from head to toe with a special dermoscope, looking for any suspicious lesions and evidence of sun damage.

Any suspicious areas or lesions will be highlighted and dermoscopy photography will be taken for the doctor to examine in closer detail.

The doctor may recommend that you have full body imaging. We will take a series of 16 full body images. These images are for monitoring and future comparison.

The doctor will then discuss these suspicious areas/lesions with you and may recommend  monitoring, (normally 3 month review), creams, medication, cryo therapy, biopsy or removal if required.
Most procedures are performed onsite (additional cost). Procedure details, fees and consent will be explained prior to procedure.

All images are stored for future reference.

We monitor all important areas with our follow up recall system.

We recommended yearly skin checks.
